NFL Week 4 reception targets
Defenses that allow the most catches to each position and who faces them this week.
Receptions are one of the more absolute metrics you can track when betting on NFL player props. Yardage is great, and seeing yards allowed per pass attempt is a foundation for my secondaries to target. But there’s something simple yet effective in simply tracking how many catches each defense is allowing to each position.
Last week, the WR targets in particular in this piece all seemed to have big games. I left that article locked in Michael Pittman catches. Why in the hell did I not bet it? Because sometimes I am dumb. Don’t be me. Check out this week’s targets and bookmark the names that stick out to you, this is all about your own research and helping deliver you trends and players to monitor.

Tennessee Titans: 19 receptions allowed/game
San Francisco 49ers: 18.7 receptions allowed/game
Minnesota Vikings: 18.3 receptions allowed/game

WRs who face off against the most generous defenses to receptions in Week 4
Amari Cooper & Elijah Moore vs. Baltimore
Cooper and Moore are tied for the team-lead with 25 targets, clearly Deshaun Watson’s top targets. Cooper has caught seven balls in back-to-back weeks.
New York Giants WRs vs. Seattle
Regular readers will know well my frustration seeing this group once again! Seattle has popped up in seemingly every article this week, and I sure wish a more appealing group was opposite them.
Darius Slayton is leading Giants receivers with 17 targets, followed by Parris Campbell wit 16. Wan’Dale Robinson saw five targets in his first game of the year last week. Good luck with this group, not sure I can trust anyone enough.
Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins & Tyler Boyd vs. Tennessee
I can’t wait to bet on Ja’Marr Chase to explode and probably also back myself up with some Tee Higgins shares as well. Cincy has been a staple of the week. Chase is leading the team with 32 targets, followed by Higgins with 28 and then Boyd at 20.
Marquise Brown vs. San Francisco
Brown is leading Arizona in targets with 22, and the next closest WR has just 10 (Rondale Moore). Brown would be my preference here, and in a game the Cardinals should conceivably be trailing, it’s an intriguing angle to monitor.
